Daylight Saving Time has begun and the First Day of Spring was on March 20th. I also have good news for my friends out there because I saw my first Robin Red Breast in my backyard on March 15th.
Your long winters nap is over or perhaps we should call it hibernation this year. New Jersey welcomes the turn of the calendar.
I live in a little town called Metuchen. It is exactly 2 point 7 square miles. We are only a little guy by two big guys. They are Edison and Woodbridge. This creates a high volume of traffic through our town. We must be especially cautious because warm weather brings out joggers, bikers, walkers, skate boarders and little kids that like to play. It brings out more cars and some of the drivers are new behind the wheel. Whether you are a pedestrian or the driver of a motor vehicle, you must use extra care. Some drivers like to drive at a high rate of speed. They like and want a car that can really move out. I have a question for these drivers. Can you stop your fast moving car when that little kid runs out to get his ball?
Yes my Friends, Day Light Saving Time, Spring and Warm Weather are here. We want this to be a Happy Time for everyone, so in order to avoid any hazardous or sorrowful event, I suggest that you proceed with caution. There is an old saying that some readers might remember: “Better Safe Than Sorry.”
