PERTH AMBOY, NJ— Mayor Wilda Diaz and the American Legion Post 45 invites the residents of Perth Amboy to honor and remember military personnel who gave their lives while serving our country during this year’s Memorial Day parade and ceremony to be held on Monday, May 26.
“Memorial Day is a powerful statement that reflects the strength and pride that we hold as a community and most importantly as a nation. We look forward to the participation of local churches and other Perth Amboy organizations to join our efforts in recognizing and remembering the men and women who have served the people of the United States of America,” said Mayor Wilda Diaz.
PARADE: Monday, May 26 at 10:00 a.m.
Begins at the Raritan Bay Area YMCA Parking Lot (357 New Brunswick Avenue) and will proceed to Sadowski Parkway
CEREMONY: Monday, May 26 at 11:00 a.m. (Following the parade)
Veterans’ War Memorial on Sadowski Parkway
As a reminder to Perth Amboy residents, the City of Perth Amboy offices will be closed Monday, May 26 and there will be no garbage collection on Memorial Day. Trash will be collected on your next regularly schedule pick-up day.
