PERTH AMBOY – “Is looking out for yourself the way to become a star?” Everyone is invited to attend The Star Factor children’s musical that answers this question in a summer arts camp setting, featuring a talent showcase where the winner earns the opportunity to compete on a national TV show.
Join us for two free performances of The Star Factor at 7 p.m., Friday, September 5 and 12 pm, Saturday, September 6 at Cathedral International, 277 Madison Ave., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. A BBQ Blast will be served following the Saturday show.
“Over 50 children ages 4 through 15 have rehearsed all summer. They have sung, danced, and acted their hearts out as they prepare for this exciting performance they will remember for the rest of their lives” stated Leslie-ann Lukoma, the show’s production coordinator.
Ted Elias, Musical Director at Cathedral International called the performance a home-run musical of unison singing, solos, humorous characters, clever storytelling, and memorable songs that will deliver a solid contemporary spiritual theme the whole audience will appreciate. He said, “The Star Factor is ‘big fun’ for the kids and it’s a great lesson for them that no matter what you do or what talents you have personally, everyone is a valuable member of the team.”
