PERTH AMBOY – On September 6, 2014, 27 classmates of the Perth Amboy High School Class of ‘49 gathered joyously to celebrate and reminisce what this town was like in 1949. Stories were told about walking all the way to school, Ice cream parlors, old movie theaters, YMCA dances on Friday nights, ferry trips to Staten Island to escape their parents, cars of that time, and the bare essentials they had when they were kids. All were in good spirit as they laughed together just like they did some sixty five years ago. Congratulations to the Class of ‘49! You all look fantastic!
