SOUTH AMBOY- R-47-2015 A Resolution to Authorize Participation in the State Health Benefits Program in the State of New Jersey; R-48-2015 A Resolution to Adopt the Provisions of Chapter 48 (N.J.S.A. 52:14.17.38) under which a public employer may agree to pay for the State Helath Benefits Program (SHBP) and/or School Employees’ Health Benefit Program (SEHBP) coverage of certain retirees.

Business Administrator Camille Tooker said, “The State Health Benefits Programs for the School Employees are the cheapest plans available. Resolution R-47 authorizes participation and Resolution R-48 is letting the plan know who is eligible. The Resolution names Benecard as the Prescription Drug Plan and Delta Dental as the Dental Plan.”

For R-47, Dato moved, Applegate seconded. R-48, Dato moved, Noble seconded.

“Those qualifying must have a 33/hr minimum average work week for full time status. The Resolution shall take effect immediately and coverage shall be effective as of 5/1/15 or sooner pursuant to statutes and regulations.”
