SOUTH AMBOY – Join the Dowdell Library for an Animation Workshop, Teen BBQ, Essential Oils Workshop, Adult Tea Party and an Alzheimer’s Program.
Tweens and Teens! Are you interested in movie making and video game creation? Learn to animate; attend the introductory animation workshop Monday, June 4 from 3:30-4:30 pm. To register, please contact the Dowdell Library at 732-721-6060 or email comments@dowdell.org
Stop by the library for the annual Teen BBQ on Monday, June 4 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Make a creative summer object with the 3D Pen, enjoy delicious fondue, and compete in rounds of Name That Tune for a prize!
Gather with friends and neighbors on Monday, June 18 for a fun afternoon of events for adults which starts at 4 pm with the Adult Tea Party with delicious teas and light refreshments. Also, learn how to boost your health, improve your rest, and enhance your everyday life with essential oils — free samples and information will be provided. Lastly, at 6 pm, learn about Alzheimer’s communication tips and techniques for managing that condition.
Do you have knitting or crocheting questions? Stop by and enjoy working on your knitting projects while chatting with friends. Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. 6 – 8 pm.
Coming in July! Join us for a live animal program presented by Paws Discovery Farms on Wednesday, July 11 at 1:30-3:00 pm. Kids! Don’t forget to sign up for the Summer Clubs for a chance to win weekly prizes.
Coming in August for tweens and teens, an innovative animation workshop which will be held Tuesdays August 7, 14, 21 & 28 from 6-8 pm. Learn how to create your own superhero comic and animation skills. Open to South Amboy residents only. Application is available at the Dowdell Library. Limited seating.
