OLD BRIDGE – Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center Foundation welcomed more than 200 guests to its first ever Reception, the foundation’s new signature fund raising event, May 11 at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, N.J.  Nearly $150,000 was raised during the evening.  The event committee was led by co-chairs Stacey Citron, Stacey Hernandez, and Jessica Smith.

In 2018, Raritan Bay Medical Center-Old Bridge began planning for the renovation and expansion of its Emergency Department.  All funds raised in conjunction with the event will directly benefit this historic construction project.

Formerly known as the Harbor Lights Ball, the new Reception’s format featured cocktail-style flow, no formal table assignments, a delicious menu with an array of hors d’oeuvres and stations, music and dancing.  It also served as a welcome reception for the newly appointed Hackensack Meridian Health Regional President Ray Fredericks.

“The Reception and continued philanthropic support makes it possible for us to fulfill our mission of delivering exceptional health care,” said Fredericks. “The event provided a wonderful opportunity for people in our community to learn more about the future of the medical center, and support growth that will result in a profound impact on the care provided.”

Since becoming part of the Hackensack Meridian Health family in 2016, Raritan Bay Medical Center, with philanthropic support from the community, has already made significant advancements. Most recently, the medical center added the latest in robotic technology to its surgical services with the da Vinci Xi, the most advanced robotic-assisted surgical system currently available. A plan to enhance emergency services is one of the next big steps that will greatly improve the environment and experience for patients.
