Press Release 6/20/18
WOODBRIDGE – The Rotary Club of Woodbridge-Perth Amboy Foundation has awarded scholarships in the amount of $35,000 to twenty-four students in Woodbridge Township. This scholarship opportunity was made available to senior high school students of Woodbridge Township who are pursuing a post-high school full-time course of study at an accredited college, university, trade school, or other educational institution.
“We are proud to have offered this opportunity to our high school students every year for the past 25 years,” commented Dov Ehrlich, Foundation Committee Chairperson. “The opportunities for young people through Interact Clubs and the Rotary Exchange Program, have given Woodbridge students opportunities to learn through community service and to travel to other countries to learn about other cultures first-hand.”
In addition to the scholarship program, Rotary Club of Woodbridge-Perth Amboy maintains a mentoring program with students at the Patten Elementary School in Perth Amboy, organizes a coat drive in the winter, provides food to local food banks, and contributes money and manpower to multiple worthwhile causes.
