In accordance with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) regulations for “Notification and Public Outreach”, Stolthaven Perth Amboy Inc. is required to provide information relating to environmental conditions and remedial activities being conducted at the above referenced site.

Former operations conducted at the site include the storage and transfer of bulk petroleum products.  Chemicals associated with site operations include, but may not be limited to Gasoline and Fuel Oil.  In 1997, a release from a former petroleum pipeline was identified and soil and groundwater contamination was confirmed at the property.  Since that time, the person conducting the remediation has determined that the contamination in the groundwater has migrated from the site, however the extent of contamination is delineated.

Stolthaven Perth Amboy Inc. is conducting investigative and remedial activities in accordance with the requirements of the NJDEP to address the contaminants detected.  The person conducting the remediation has evaluated the environmental impacts from the site including the potential for the contamination from this site to affect drinking water wells and/or the quality of indoor air to ensure that any impacts from the contamination is promptly mitigated.
