PERTH AMBOY – On Sat. June 16, 2108 at 10:00 a.m. at Kearny Cottage Girl Scout Troop #81456 held a dedication ceremony for their Silver Award Project. The Troop wanted to thank all the people who made this project possible. There were 3 objectives to this Garden Project 1) To beautify the community, 2) To attract the Monarch Butterfly, & 3) To supply the local foodbanks with fresh herbs. None of that would have been possible without the following organizations The Kearny Cottage E Board who gave us permission to use their 20×20 Ft. lot. The Dept. of Public Works City of Perth Amboy who not only supplies the Garden with fresh mulch every year but also leveled the ground & installed the sign with the girls’ names on it. The sign was donated by Ace Signs of Perth Amboy. The Royal Garden Club by the Bay who not only donates Flowers & Herbs every year but also offer constant advice & help. And finally, Home Depot of Woodbridge who donated the supplies & also built the Garden. The Silver Award is the 2nd highest Award in Girl Scouts.The recipients are Adriana Arraya, Kaitlyn Coronel & Naysha Rambajan.
