Teen Center Details
• The Brighton Ave Teen Center is to provide Perth Amboy youth ages 13-18, a safe place to interact with their peers and engage in recreational, social, educational programs and activities. It is located on 56 Brighton Avenue, next to the tennis courts in the waterfront area. It is the home base of the Perth Amboy Youth Alliance, a group of high school students, which focus on community service, academic success, leadership development and how to live a healthy lifestyle .
• The center provides workshops such as job readiness, resume writing, networking, interviewing skills, financial literacy, FAFSA help, gardening 101 (using a vertical aeroponic growing system and our outdoor community garden), and more. Recreational programs such as tennis, Zumba, beach volleyball, running, group walks, and more. Special trips are offered at low or no cost.
• The center also provides youth an opportunity to create or join clubs such as the book club, step team, gardening club and more.
