Amboy Bank Hosts First Shred Day

Press Release

OLD BRIDGE – On October 19th, Amboy Bank hosted its first ever Shred Day at their Browntown Branch on Gaub Road. This free event offered the clients of Amboy an opportunity to properly discard documents containing confidential information, such as old tax returns, bank statements, and check stubs. Materials were collected from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the parking lot of the branch, disposed of in the truck and shredded on site by Shred-It Company.

As the rate of identity theft grows in the US, Amboy Bank President and Chief Executive Officer, Gregory Scharpf, states, “We’re proud to host this event to help keep our clients’ and neighbors’ information safe. At Amboy, we’re working to bring awareness to the rising concern of identity theft, especially to seniors who are often the victims this crime.”
