Letter from Superintendent re: Condolence

Dear Perth Amboy School District Community,

It is with great sadness that I inform you about a loss to our school community. Yesterday, Thursday, July 9, 2020, one of our students passed away following a tragic accident. The student is the child of Mr. Rolando Vazquez, a Custodian at Samuel E. Shull School.

The family has set up a “Go Fund Me” page to assist with funeral expenses, which will be shared as soon as the information is available. Note that the Perth Amboy School District is not endorsing or sponsoring this fundraiser. This information is being provided as a courtesy in response to the many inquiries received from members of our community.

Let us rally together to support a colleague during this traumatic event in their life. Our sincere condolences and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time of grief and sorrow.
