A Message from Assemblywoman Yvonne Lopez on Puerto Rico Day
“New Jerseyans of Puerto Rican descent make up over five percent of our state’s population. They are public servants, union members, business owners, military members, doctors, lawyers, engineers, judges, business executives and artists. Most importantly they are Americans. That is why I am honored to have sponsored the law designating the third Sunday in September Puerto Rico Day.”

Good vs. Evil
As we know, politics is a dirty game, but this election will be even dirtier with name calling, finger-pointing, blackmail, illegal voting, and the best one: those “Mail in Ballots”. Yes, get ready for some action on Election Day because it will divide the nation: “Good vs. Evil”. As for the Perth Amboy Election, it’s all Democrats and those candidates will be fighting each other. Maybe some of those candidates are being used to split the votes. Will there be angry voters at the polls or protesters causing problems? Will the police department might have to use tear gas to disperse the crowd? We as concerned voters demand fair elections, and do not want to have to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice. Remember there’s always people watching, and they leave a paper trail.

Supreme Court Changes
There should be an age limit of seventy years for Supreme Court Justices. Other Federal judges must retire at this age. Should Supreme Court Justices have a term of twelve years? This would allow renewal of the Supreme Court. A life term is anti-democratic. What states have lifetime terms for judges? There should also be an age limit for Presidents.
