Bear Hunts

Bears are predators that can attack farm animals and crops. Who wants to lose valuable property to wild animals? What if bears also attacked humans?

The bear hunt In NJ should be continued to protect humans and their animals from the suffering and death by predatory bears.

What scientists support ending bear hunts?

Freedom or Dictatorship

November 3, 2020 will be a day of truth for America. For me, it’s “DOOMSDAY” and the clock is ticking WHY? Because on that day in 24 hours America will see a change. Forget who will be the President. It is about a New World Order or Disorder. It will change our lives in many ways: “Freedom or Dictatorship”. You pick and decide what is really going on in America. Forget the puppet-controlled news media and the propaganda they feed us. You as the voter must judge the facts that were told by those politicians. Let NO ONE tell you how to VOTE! It is your freedom as an American.

We the People

“We the People”, what a concept. Our politicians are supposed to represent the views and thoughts of “We the People”. Well maybe now around election time we are, “We the People”, but what about after the election? It seems like it is the same old thing. Broken campaign promises are a standing joke in this country.

It also seems that some politicians in this country, once in, are in for life or at least 30 years or so. There are term limits in a lot of the states, but I think it is the ones that do not have them that are responsible for most of our troubles. If you aren’t satisfied with your current situation, e.g., high taxes, high tolls, etc., and you’ve had the same person representing you for the last umpteen years, vote them out, it’s that simple, or not. That is why I am for term limits, even if you only have to take a pause between terms.

I think one of the biggest mistakes that “We the People” makes though is that we assume. We assume that when a politician says that they are going to do something that they mean right away or as soon as possible, wrong. After all, these things take time. You have to set up a committee to hire advisors to find out how long you can drag a project out. At least two or three terms.

I remember completing my job, when I worked for a big company in Perth Amboy back in the seventies, in record time. It took me about a half-hour to do a job which usually took an hour and a half to two hours to do. It went all over the plant like wildfire. Then my union shop steward took me aside and explained a few things to me and, just like that, it never happened again. It’s kind of the same thing.

I think the biggest mistake we make as a people is NOT VOTING. The biggest and most influential thing we have to do is VOTE. If that sounds simple, it’s not. A lot of people like to bitch, but vote, not so much. Prior to this year, (which we all know is special), in the 2019 general election, there were over six million registered voters in NJ but there were only a little over one and a half million ballots cast.

Every election counts. Go out and VOTE, or mail it in, or whatever. It seems we always have something more important to do. It is the only power, “We the People”, have. Don’t waste it.

Mixed Messages from White House Cause Confusion for Travel

Industry and our Global Economy

President Trump’s announcement that there will be no additional COVID-relief legislation before the election – and the confusing messages that followed – dealt another devastating blow to the travel industry. Mixed messages cause confusion for the marketplace and the global economy.

Decimated by the global pandemic, the travel industry is suffering a record economic setback. Rebuilding it will be the key driver in rebuilding our economy. The travel industry has always driven jobs and economic growth, and the effort to implement a coordinated global campaign for the recovery of the travel industry must begin today.

This is not a political issue. It does not advance one party over another. We must restore confidence in traveling and encourage responsible government policy globally. In the near-term, Congress and the Trump Administration must pass some form of continued financial relief to keep essential airline operations in place, provide needed bridge financing to keep hotels open and keep the remainder of the needed travel infrastructure out of foreclosure. But in return, the U.S. travel industry must coordinate, focus and prioritize its recovery efforts in a way it never has before.

It will take the highest level of cooperation among health experts, TSA, CBP, airports, hotels, ground transportation, travel agencies, cruise lines and every other travel-related entity. If losing 85-90% of overall travel bookings isn’t motivating enough, I don’t know what is.

Collectively, we have the power to navigate the pre-recovery period until an effective vaccine comes along and travel can truly take off again.
