We are still trying to recover from the first Presidential Debate. We could have done a better job answering the questions both our hands tied behind our backs and blindfolded.
Katherine said she fell asleep after an hour, but I couldn’t help but to look at the debate in its entirety, hoping at one point someone would slow down and run out of wind.
Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
President Trump reminded me of the energizer bunny on overdrive. Former Vice-President Joe Biden as hard as he tried, he couldn’t hardly get a word in.
I think moderator Chris Wallace couldn’t wait to get something to eat (with a shot of whiskey and vodka on the side).
Hopefully at the next debate between the two, the moderator will have a mute button to silence anyone who goes over the allotted time.
There is an old saying that God gave us two ears and one mouth so that we could listen twice as much as speaking. Sometimes when you let the other person speak without you interrupting, the speaker may trip their own selves up. That will give the listener the advantage of highlighting the mistakes made by their opponents.
So on Thursday, October 22 at 9 p.m. EST on many major and cable stations get ready for round 2.
As a matter of fact, I switched watching the debate live on my android phone and my tablet, so there is no excuse not to see it.
Some are probably still trying to recover from the first one let alone attempting to watch the second. We’re going to give them a second chance and hope they take advice as offered. C.M.
