PERTH AMBOY— Mayor Wilda Diaz is pleased to announce $1.7 million in funds for waterfront improvements to the areas affected by the March 2010 storm.
“This has been long awaited. This area has been fenced off for over two years. Thanks to the State grant we are able to restore our waterfront storm damaged areas,” said Mayor Wilda Diaz.
The New Jersey Departmental Environmental Protection, Coastal Protection Grant funded Perth Amboy for repairs to the walkway, bulkhead replacement, revetment and beach replenishment for Sadowksi Parkway and areas near the Raritan Yacht Club on Water Street and the Historic Ferry Slip on Front Street.
Construction is expected to begin in October.
