Disaster Recovery Relief Forum—Dec 13

EDISON — The business community is encouraged to attend a Disaster Recovery Relief Forum on Thursday, December 13, 2013, to learn what services and loans are available to the business community as a result of a disaster. The forum will be hosted by the NJ Convention & Expo Center at 97 Sunfield Avenue, Raritan Center, Edison, NJ. The forum will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Business representatives should come to hear and ask questions about the resources available for business loss or closure due to physical and monetary losses. Be informed about payroll and unemployment procedures. Become familiar with how to file for free services and where to go for local, state and federal resources.

The presenters will include representatives from FEMA, SBA, Army Corps of Engineers, NJ Business Action Center and Office of Emergency Management. The forum lends itself to sharing best practices learned among those impacted businesses from Hurricane Sandy whether from water damage or electric outages or road closures.

The forum is sponsored by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Middlesex County Department of Business Development & Education and Edison Township Mayor’s Office and the Edison Chamber of Commerce. There is no admission cost however advance registration is required. The Expo Center is located at 97 Sunfield Avenue, Raritan Center, Edison,. Enter under the Conference Center blue awning.
