Lizard Guys and eBooks at Dowdell Library — July 9

Summertime and the living is easy! Drop in the Dowdell Library of South Amboy for a cool experience! Enjoy the not to be missed, kid-friendly “Lizard Guys” program on Tuesday, July 9 at 1:45 pm. See awesome lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs & various bugs. Get to the library early to reserve a seat “for a main course of reptiles and amphibians sprinkled with tasty tidbits of fun and a side of giggle soup!” Parents, sign your children up for the library’s summer club for prizes and giveaways!

Adults, dig into reading and spend time between the covers of a good book…or eBook this summer. It’s a great way to learn new things, or simply relax and unwind. eBooks are as easy as 1-2-3! To access the library’s free eBooks, log onto www.dowdell.org/ereader.html and click on eLibraryNJ. Then, just enter the first 13-digits of your library card number, select “Dowdell Library of South Amboy” and choose your title! To browse the collection, try the Advanced Search. Online help is available, too. For hands-on assistance, drop in the library any time and learn how to use your eBook reader. The library is also sponsoring a free eBook drop-in program every Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Don’t forget to join the library’s summer club.

Summer hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10 am – 8 pm; Wednesday and Friday 10 am – 5 pm. For more information, contact the library at 732-721-6060 or comments@dowdell.org. The library is adjacent to South Amboy High School off O’Leary Boulevard.
