SOUTH AMBOY – A recent false alarm at the Y prompted Mayor Fred Henry to move the Seniors back to their old location on Stevens Avenue.

The Senior’s Community Room was located on the 2nd floor of the Y. There are 52 steps to navigate to reach the 1st floor.  Emergency Services responded quickly to the alarm. The  difficulty of having some Seniors who rely on wheelchairs and walkers located on the 2nd level without having the use of elevators presented a major problem.
