Back to School
It’s back to school. Students bring their notebooks, pencils, papers – teachers bring their lesson plans, Tylenol, Excedrin, and Aspirin.
My nephew prefers young teachers. He thinks it’s fun to watch them age.
Well! Summer vacations are over at last. Parents go back to work, kids go back to school, teachers go back to tranquilizers.
Here it is another school year – time once again for all that juvenile behavior, temper tantrums, name calling and petty bickering – but enough about the School Board meetings!
One father called his son aside and said, “Son, don’t you think it’s about time you and I discussed the facts of life?” The kid said, “Sure, Dad. What do you want to know?”
The above is my attempt to lighten the mood of the Council and School Board Meetings. They look too serious, boring and timid! I’ve seen livelier and more cheerful people at funerals. Especially if the deceased left ‘em a large estate.
Thank you for your courtesies.
Very truly yours,
Peter Book a.k.a. Pedro Libro
