WOODBRIDGE – Beginning February 1, 2015, Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care is able to expand its healthcare services to provide pediatric urgent care to Horizon NJ Health subscribers. Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care is proud to be one of the first pediatric urgent care facilities in the State of New Jersey in network with Horizon NJ Health; which means greater access and more options for its members.
Now just 2 miles away on Route 9, Perth Amboy residents in need of pediatric emergency services who have Horizon NJ Health insurance can receive free transportation to and from Kinder Pediatrics through the transportation voucher system. This medicaid in network insurance allows patient access for the first time to pediatric Emergency Room experienced physicians at an urgent care facility with $0 co payment, or sliding fee when indicated. Kinder Pediatrics staff is bilingual.
“Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care is a responsible alternative to the Emergency Room for non life threatening emergencies,” said Jillian Stratton, Center Administrator at Kinder Pediatric Urgent Care. “Our patients are seen by the same Emergency Room trained physicians and nurses they would at area hospitals, but without the long wait time and extra added expenses traditionally associated with hospitals.”
By partnering with Horizon NJ Health, the state’s largest managed Medicaid health plan, members now have another option for urgent pediatric health care other than hospital Emergency Rooms or closed pediatrician’s offices. This will reduce overcrowding in emergency rooms and help reduce overall healthcare insurance expenses. Another benefit is the reduction in absenteeism from work and school since this care is provided after work and school hours and on the weekends in a medical office like setting.
