“Not All Heroes Wear Capes”

PERTH AMBOY – On Thursday, July 23, 2015, the City of Perth Amboy, in partnership with the Perth Amboy Business Improvement District and the ZPA Banquet Hall, hosted a First Responders Appreciation Luncheon titled, “Not All Heroes Wear Capes,” for all Perth Amboy Emergency Personnel. The new ZPA management and members of the ZPA Board of Directors approached the Perth Amboy BID with a desire to give back to the men and women who so diligently serve and protect our community.
All emergency personnel were invited to attend this free luncheon which was hosted at the ZPA Banquet Hall on 281 Grace Avenue. Guests were encouraged to stop in between the hours of 11:30am and 2:00pm, during their respective lunch hour. There was be a mid-lunch presentation by Mayor Wilda Diaz, Police Chief, Lawrence Cattano, Fire Chief, Abraham Pitre, ZPA Owner, Walter, BID Manager, Roxana Troche, Monsignor John Gordon, and students of the All Stars Academy Summer Program. At the end of the presentation, the students gave out handmade thank you gifts to the emergency personnel guests all the while exchanging smiles and high fives with their hometown heroes.
