United Messengers of Peace Thanks Those Who Supported Lung Cancer Awareness Lunch

We would like to extend our gratitude to the Honorable Governor Christie for sending a heartfelt letter to us, the Honorable Mayor Diaz for giving us a Mayoral Citation and being present at the event, Councilmen Gonzalez and Caba, Chief Pitre and his Fire Department, Chief McKean and his Police Department, Deputy Chief Rodriguez and his Auxiliary Police Officers who all came out in support of lung cancer awareness.

A special thank you to the Bermudez family especially Mrs. Haydee Bermudez, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and those who chose to volunteers, LAMA Queens, NY and NJ, Girls Scout Troops of GSCSNJ (Troops 80218, 80714, 80722, 80467, 80030, 81610 and 80706), DJ Juan, Jackie Bermudez (Always Picture Me Photo Booth), Renovation House, Hola Doctor Health Insurance, Raritan Bay Medical Center, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), NJ Consumer Affairs, Youth Alliance and City of Perth Amboy Municipal ID Program.

We would like to acknowledge Renovation House, Thrift World Outlet, Abundant Life Worship Church, God’s Army Ministries, the Raritan Bay Area YMCA, the UMoP Board of Trustees & Lung Cancer Awareness Committee for believing and trusting in our Lung Cancer Awareness Program. A huge thank you to Ed Troche and his active involvement in raising awareness alongside us.

Thank you Dorothy Carter-Daniels for her poem recital honoring a mother and The Amboy Guardian for allowing us to promote the event in your paper and for publishing a follow up article with pictures.

Last, but not least important, because without you we wouldn’t had been a success, to all our volunteers and participants that showed up despite of the pouring rain outside! THANK YOU TO ALL!
