Mass Shooting Today

There were no mass shootings until after World War II, and few before the 1968 Gun Control Act. They seem to have increased in the 1980’s. Did the 1968 Gun Control Act have unforeseen consequences?

The book ‘Newtown’ explained how armed guards prevented an attack on the high school. Should school personnel provide armed protection? Do “Gun Free Zones” attract shooters?

Legal Thievery

Real heroes are motivated by selflessness – not selfishness! Right now, many are calling those who were victims of their own greed heroes when nothing could be further from the truth. Those who worked solely to make overtime to pad their pensions and then retired are not worthy of the same sympathy as those who gave of their time and effort freely and voluntarily. 

Staying in the same river but taking a different tributary; though it’s not likely to happen it’s about time that public pensions were based only on one’s base salary so that the legal thievery so many enjoy is put to an end! Those of us who know (wink!) know of the chicanery that goes on to increase public pensions, the tricks of the trade shouldn’t be tricking anyone. I dream of the day when our gutless politicians we elect stand up to the unions and stop being so liberal in doling out our money. Not all taxpayers are morons, some of us realize when we’re being fleeced!
