PERTH AMBOY – On Thursday, 24 October 2013 members of the Perth Amboy Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau executed a Superior Court Search Warrant at Bertrand Avenue, Perth Amboy, N.J. The resident of that apartment Jose Rafael Rojas was arrested after approximately 218 grams of cocaine and $12,458.00 in U.S. currency was seized along with various narcotic paraphernalia.

Rojas was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of over 5 ounces of cocaine with the intent to distribute (1st. degree crime), and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school zone.

Bail was set by the Honorable Judge Emery Z. Toth at $100,000.00 with no 10% option and with the requirement of a bail source hearing. The total street value of the Drugs seized is approximately $20,000.00. The investigation was led by Detective David Guzman.
