PERTH AMBOY – People United for Self Help & More (PUSHM) closed out an eight-day arts exhibition Saturday night at Raritan Bay Coffee Company on the first level of the Perth Amboy Train Station.About fifty or more people attended throughout the week, including a special appearance by Mayor Diaz at the closing celebration.

The show was called People Uniting Through the Arts and featured artists from the local community and beyond, including members of PUSHM. It is a voluntary association of Perth Amboy adults whose mission is positive health self expression through creative arts.

Along with the members and contributing artists, the show also included featured photographer Marianne Campolongo. Campolongo’s work has appeared in many galleries as well as in newspapers and magazines in the U.S., London, and more. All of the artists donated a portion of their proceeds to this charity.

Mayor Diaz was presented with a floral craft and computer-generated art. She encouraged the artists to exhibit their art and reaffirmed her commitment to celebrating the Perth Amboy community and its talents.

Raritan Bay Coffee owners Alejandro and Delia Román welcome art enthusiasts to enjoy their unique and inviting shop, where a variety of art has be seen on the walls throughout the years. For more information you can email PUSHMselfhelp@gmail.com.
