Sister Rebecca Piatek, C.S.S.F 50th Anniversary of Consecrated Life

PERTH AMBOY – Whether they are teachers, nurses, catechists or administrators, the religious sisters who serve the Perth Amboy Catholic Schools do it each day with faith and dedication.

In honor of celebrating fifty years of consecrated life, Sr. Mary Rebecca Piatek, Principal St. Stephen`s Campus of Perth Amboy, was presented a Joint Legislative Resolution by New Jersey Assemblyman John Wisniewski on Wednesday morning, April 16th.

The resolution recognized Sr. Rebecca, for her dedication to her vocation through her “extraordinary understanding of and affection for people” and the “standard of excellence toward which others who serve humanity with compassion and love”.

During the presentation, New Jersey Assemblyman John Wisniewski shared a commonality with Sr. Rebecca, both being originally from Sayreville.

“It was a humble surprise to receive such a recognition presented by Assemblyman Wisniewski. I thank everyone for their prayers and support”, said Sr. Rebecca.

The resolution was presented during the Morning Prayer assembly, in front of the student body and staff who were able to share in her recognition by New Jersey Assemblyman John Wisniewski.
