PERTH AMBOY – Perth Amboy Catholic School 8th grade student, Katherine Zevallos, was a First Place and Grand Prize Winner in the “Open Your Hearts to Life” Respect Life Art Contest sponsored by the Diocese of Metuchen.

The award ceremony was held on May 6, 2014 at the St. John Neumann Pastoral Center in Piscataway.  A Mass was held, followed by a luncheon and Award Ceremony in which Katherine won a Nikon digital camera. Her artwork was submitted by her art teacher, Mrs. Rose Pennyfeather, who attended the ceremony with Principal, Sr. Rebecca Piatek and Katherine’s mother and aunt.
