PERTH AMBOY – Four students from Perth Amboy Catholic Upper School wrote winning essays for the annual Environmental Essay Contest, sponsored by the Middlesex County Divisions of Solid Waste Management and Environmental Health.

Joshua Joo, Grade 6, and Emmanuel De Jesus, Grade 8, each placed third in their grade category. Trisha Ponik, Grade 7, claimed second place for her grade level, while seventh grader Laurie Jimenez won first place for her essay.  Awards will be presented in July.
