McCormac Issues Proclamation for Woodbridge Resident’s 100th Birthday

WOODBRIDGE – Anna Krentar, a resident at St. Joseph’s Assisted Living in Woodbridge, celebrated her 100th Birthday with family and friends on Thursday, July 10. Woodbridge Mayor McCormac issued a proclamation to honor Anna.

Anna was born in Pennsylvania and resided in Elizabeth with her husband, John for many years. She has two children, Christine and Robert, and many grandchildren. She worked for Singer, a sewing machine factory in Elizabeth for 15 years.

Anna enjoys the many activities at St. Joseph’s.  She is an avid reader of the Star Ledger, The Amboy Guardian, the Woodbridge Corner, Time Magazine and other news publications.

In the proclamation, Woodbridge Mayor McCormac stated: “Now, therefore, I John E. McCormac, Mayor of the Township of Woodbridge, in the County of Middlesex, in the State of New Jersey, and in the concert with the Woodbridge Township Municipal Council, do hereby proclaim the Twelfth Day of July in the Year Two Thousand and Fourteen, to be:  Annie Krentar Day throughout Woodbridge Township.  The Mayor and Council do hereby honor and salute Annie Krentar for her lifetime accomplishments, wish her a happy 100th Birthday, and extend best wishes for continued happiness.”
