I would like to make you aware of something in your town. Your Animal Control Officers and shelter should be an example for the state of New Jersey. Their caring and dedications to the animals and their job is unbelievable — they go above and beyond their job specs.
One person who stands out is ACO Christine Nadine. I have worked with her on several occasion helping animals in need. Her professionalism, dedication and love for the animals is second to none in the State of New Jersey. With all the problems going on in shelters across New Jersey, not doing their jobs properly. But not at your shelter.
Just last week a dog was brought to your shelter from Linden Animal Control which was sitting in a cage since Sunday, and the first thing ACO Christine did was scan it for a chip, and it had one. She contacted the owner and he came right down from Millburn to get his dog. If it wasn’t for her professionalism, Roger would have never gotten his dog Ralphie back and she should be recognized for this because at Linden it just sat there and was never scanned.
That is the difference between a place run by professional and caring individuals and a place that is under investigation for not doing the right thing.
