South Amboy Ferry Update

SOUTH AMBOY – Council President Mickey Gross said that Business Administrator Camille Tooker attended a lot of meetings in Trenton about the Ferry.

Tooker stated, “Mayor Henry and I went to Trenton together for meetings in reference in regards to the Ferry. Some of these discussions included RFQ’s (Request for Quotations), re-mediation’s for the site and bids for construction. LSRP (Licensed Site Remediation Professionals) will be in charge of the re-mediation. The removal of the soil has to go out to bid.  During our meetings in Trenton, we were congratulated about the way we were going about restoring the Ferry Service. They said we will be an example to other towns who may want to have a Ferry Service.”

Mayor Fred Henry mentioned City Engineer Mark Rasimowicz and thanked him for helping to move this project forward.
