PERTH AMBOY – Smith Street was roped off between Prospect and Oak Streets in the late afternoon and later that evening the area roped up was extended up to Elm Street. The hours this occurred were between 6:30 p.m. to around 9:00 p.m.) According to bystanders, suspicious phone calls and/or packages were supposedly sent to at least one or more local businesses in the area.
