PERTH AMBOY – On Friday, December 2, 2016, Abigail Rosa, a 2nd grader at Perth Amboy Catholic School was honored in Washington, D.C. for her winning artwork in the MCA Holy Childhood National Christmas Art Contest.

Abigail received a plaque of her artwork which was on exhibit at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Abigail and her family also celebrated a special Mass, attended a luncheon buffet and had a tour of the Basilica. Only 24 entries, from over 5000 pieces of artwork submitted from the entire United States, were chosen for recognition. Her art teacher, Rose Lavin Pennyfeather, who submitted her artwork, also attended the ceremony.
