SOUTH AMBOY – Celebrate National Library Week in April with these fun events! On Tuesday, April 4, the Dowdell Library will be holding a soup contest! Homemade soup entries may be dropped off between 10 am – 5:30 pm. At 6 pm, soups will be judged and prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for kids, teens and adults. From 6:30-8 pm, drop in and sample all the submitted entries. Attendees may win one of many door prizes!
On Wednesday, April 12 from 3-4:30 pm, join us for fun stories and activities as we celebrate El Dia de los Ninos (Children’s Day/Book Day). This day emphasizes the importance of literacy for Spanish speaking children, recognizes diverse cultures, heritage and language while strengthening families and communities.
Don’t miss the Celebrity Storytime on Wednesday, April 19 from 3-4:30 pm. Hear stories, and enjoy a delicious snack with Council President, Mickey Gross. Who knows, maybe his favorite story is yours as well!
