Bill of Rights Plaques Dedication

PERTH AMBOY – The Bill of Rights Plaques in the Perth Amboy Free Public Library were dedicated on 10/10/17. The plaques were paid for by the family of the late Carol Bates. Carol Bate’s Cousin, Pam Dwyer Stockton, represented the Bates family. The 15th Amendment was also included to honor Thomas Mundy Peterson.

Board of Trustee Member James A. Woller spoke about the importance of Perth Amboy’s rich history. New Jersey was the first state to ratify the Bill of Rights – right here in Perth Amboy.
