PERTH AMBOY/SOUTH AMBOY – The Fireworks Celebration got off to a great start on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Riverboat St. Charles. MC Bert Baron from 1450 WCTC AM Radio greated everyone. Celebrate Our Stars and Stripes Chair Barry Rosengarten thanked all the sponsors as did all the speakers. South Amboy Mayor and former High School History Teacher gave a brief history of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and how they knew they faced death and also their family members faced danger. There was a brief skit representing the Boston Tea Party.
Once Again, Garden State Fireworks will be putting on a spectacular show which they have done every year since 2012 when the Fireworks were revived. The Santore Brothers, who own Garden State Fireworks stated they love to work with Perth Amboy and South Amboy because of the town’s enthusiasm.
The fireworks will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019; Rain date: Friday July 5, 2019.
