Artists, Live Bands, & Food Trucks Along Raritan Bay Kick Off Memorial Day

PERTH AMBOY – The City of Perth Amboy is pleased to host the Fifth Annual Perth Amboy Waterfront Arts Festival taking place this Friday and Saturday and a Memorial Day parade and ceremony on Monday in honor and memory of our veterans and those lost.

Arts Festival festivities will include top, regional performing artists, as well as local talent on an outdoor main stage, as over 15 food truck vendors line Sadowski Parkway with a variety of fun, unique eats and dessert treats. This free event features nationally recognized artists and emerging local creators. Festival attendees will have the opportunity to shop the work of 75+ plus artists and makers displaying an array of mediums from jewelry, fiberglass, and ceramics to photography, watercolor, and mixed media at the Artist Vendor Village.

We are also feature a Youth Artist Studio on Saturday for a FREE DIY area where our youngest visitors will be able to create various art pieces.  This part of our festival is being sponsored by the Raritan Bay YMCA Culture of Health initiative

This year’s festival is made possible by the support of our local businesses.

As the nation marks Memorial Day 2019, we honor all of our military heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice and those who have been lost in battle with a ceremonial Black Hawk Flyer over will take place at 1:00 p.m. to pay tribute to veterans and military personnel.

On Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day) various local organizations will line the parade preceding a ceremony at Sadowski Parkway where Francis Edward Wild, as our 2019 Grand Marshal with share remarks with guests. Mayor Diaz will be joined by city officials, veterans and the American Legion Post 45 to pay tribute to those who died in battle and served the Unites States of America.
