THE COMMUNITY VOICE

Freedom of

the Press

Why does some public officials don’t like the community newspaper? Here is why. It tells news those other puppet-controlled newspapers won’t print what happens at a City Council Meeting. Many concerned voters and taxpayers want to know about how their City Government is doing. I remember when the News Tribune was a Perth Amboy newspaper “The News Fit the Print,” from city council meetings to crime and many city politicians hated it. They would ask, “Why did the News Tribune have to print that?” Well, the same goes for the Amboy Guardian, “Why did The Amboy Guardian have to print that?” But when a city politician needs the Amboy Guardian for a reason like: “I was framed!” or “I’m running for re-election,” they need the paper they complain about. RIGHT. So, enjoy the FREEDOM of The Press for now, and don’t complain.

Freedom Park

Attorney Gonzalez seems to be chomping at the bit to name a new park. Hopefully he and others are not thinking of bestowing that honor to some pickpocket politician or some high-ranking public (a.k.a. self) servant who was (or is) collecting a hefty salary as who was (or is) getting a nice fat pension. Why are some folks so hellbent on heaping praise to individuals who are merely doing what they are paid to do which is what everyone else does? Might I suggest Freedom Park or some such moniker.  Thank you!

The Honorable

Michael Rusznak
