Assemblywoman Quijano Celebrates 12th Annual Three Kings Day; Seeks Donations of Gifts for Children at Trinitas Medical Center

Press Release 12/16/21

TRENTON – Assemblywoman Annette Quijano (D-Union) is asking for donations of gifts to help make the holidays a little brighter for children in the Inpatient and Outpatient Pediatric Behavioral Health Programs, and the Adolescent Residential Program, at Trinitas Regional Medical Center for her 12th Annual Three Kings Day Celebration on Wednesday, January 5th, 2022.

Three Kings Day marks the end of the Christmas holiday season and is celebrated throughout Latin America and Spain with festivities, music, dancing and gift-giving. All donations will be provided to the programs at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, which serve over 3,000 children annually, and over a dozen adolescents that live on site year-round.

“Each year, this heartwarming event enriches the lives of these kids. Many of these children live at the hospital and don’t have the opportunity to celebrate the holidays at home. Along similar lines, hundreds of children come from at-risk neighborhoods, and whose families have suffered economic struggles due to COVID-19 or other factors, and a gift allows them to enjoy the holidays with cheer. Living in uncertain times there has minimized opportunities to connect with loved ones, so this year’s Three Kings Day is very important to these families” said Quijano.

Toys for all ages will be accepted, sample wish list items are listed below:

•Bedroom Items – bean bag chairs, overstuffed pillows, twin XL sheets and comforters, bed pillows and linens, towels
