PERTH AMBOY – From August 29 until September 1, 2023, Puerto Rican Association for Human Development, Inc. will host the All of Us Journey: a traveling educational exhibit that brings the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program to communities across the country.

The Journey features interactive stations and activities to educate visitors on topics like the importance of diverse representation in health research and how lifestyle, genetic, and environmental factors affect our health. Attendees will learn how they can help shape the future of health for themselves, their families, and their communities for generations to come. They will also have the opportunity to join the All of Us Research Program during their visit, if interested.

Perth Amboy, New Jersey is just one stop on the All of Us Journey’s national tour. Puerto Rican Association for Human Development, Inc. invites members of the public to attend this event to learn more about the All of Us Research Program and why participation is so important.

WHAT: Puerto Rican Association for Human Development, Inc. will host the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Journey at Puerto Rican Association for Human Development, Inc. The public is invited to attend and learn how they can help change the future of health as participants of the All of Us Research Program.

About the All of Us Research Program
The All of Us Research Program is a large research program led by the National Institutes of Health. The goal of the program is to help researchers understand more  about why people get sick or stay healthy. The program aims to recruit 1 million or more participants that reflect the diversity of the United States. People who join may share information about their health, habits, and what it’s like where they live. By looking for patterns in this information, researchers may learn more about what affects people’s health. The All of Us Research Program will last for 10 years or more. This will allow researchers to study health over time. People who join the All of Us Research Program will be contributing to an effort to improve the health of generations to come.
