We all know by now who Mr. Edward Snowden is. If you don’t know, I’m going to wake you up. He was the man that spilled the beans on what the NSA (National Security Agency) was doing over the years. They were collecting telephone data and e-mails plus watching who was on the internet in the United States and overseas.
They told us it was for our own safety and to catch the bad guys. Now the telephones company which were working with them like AT&T, Verizon and many more. After 9\11 in 2001 the Bush administration started this PATRIOT ACT in which the ACLU said was about invading our privacy.
This is nothing new. In the early 70’s the CIA and FBI were watching and wiretapping the American people that was protesting the Vietnam war. Then in 1971 the Washington Post news paper broke the story out what the CIA and FBI was doing. Now many are saying that the NSA is going too far and they have a computer system that collects millions of phone records and other data.
Is the NSA more powerful then the Obama Administration? And where is Congress to protect the American people’s civil liberties? Whatever happened to the Constitution and the 4th Amendment? In fact, President Nixon had to resign from office because he broke the law on the 4th Amendment.
