PERTH AMBOY – The Puerto Rican Festival was held from June 6-8 at Rudyk Park. It was the first time it was held at this venue. A larger venue was needed to accommodate the large crowd expected for the performance of Latin Grammy Award Winning artist Jerry Rivera. As you can see in the photos, the Rudyk Park location was a wise choice.
This also afforded the committee an opportunity to have more a variety of rides and vendors and enough space to move around and more space for the attendees to move around. Local youth groups volunteered there time to help with the cleanup and did a fantastic job.
Mayor Wilda Diaz said that Rudyk Park would be a great venue for other organizations to have their festivals there who do not have their own facilities. As you can see, the weather was great and the turnout was even larger than the committee expected.
