PERTH AMBOY – Councilman Fernando Irizarry said, “I have been getting complaints from people who were denied handicapped parking based on the Handicapped Parking Committee’s decisions. They have been calling my private cell phone number. When I asked how did they get my number, they said it was given to them by a City Employee. Is this an invasion of privacy? The Handicapped Parking Committee reviews the Doctor’s reports. There are five of us on this committee. I want to commend the City Hall Employees for helping us out. We are still open to any of our residents’ suggestions to this problem. All the people who called to complain said they know of people who are abusing handicapped spots. I will talk to anyone, but I would like to be assigned a City Cell Phone.”
