PERTH AMBOY – The Perth Amboy Federation/ AFT Local 857 is hosting a Candidates’ Night for those seeking election to the Perth Amboy Board of Education. The forum will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013, beginning at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at PAHS, Eagle Avenue. Moderated by a representative from the League of Women Voters of NJ. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

The purpose of the forum 1.) Afford voters the opportunity to ask questions of those who are seeking election. 2.) Candidates will give an opening statement. 3.) Questions will be taken from the audience, and then each candidate will be given the opportunity to give a summation. Questions may be directed to any or all of the candidates. This event supports no candidates or any political party. Its sole purpose is to promote active and informed participation in government.
