Perth Amboy Domestic Violence Response Team Activities

PERTH AMBOY – October 12, 2014: The team members of the Perth Amboy Domestic Violence team invite you to participate in the various activities commencing on October 12, 2014 at 1PM. We will be having a Flag Raising ceremony at our City Hall Circle on 1PM.This flag raising ceremony is the beginning of our activities being held in our city of Perth Amboy.

On October 16, 2014 we will be participating on our 3RD annual Candle Light Vigil, where we will have a remembrance ceremony of the victims lost to Domestic Violence in the city of Perth Amboy. We will be releasing floral arrangements honoring our victims. This ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m.at the Butterfly Garden (corner of High & Sadowski Parkway) please follow the  luminaries.

October 18, 2014 we will be hosting a workshop and Forum. We will be offering a self-defense class, makeovers, and information on how to be in a healthy relationship. There will be various speakers on hand to speak on Teen Dating, Elder Abuse, and Bullying to name a few. This event is free of charge but you must RSVP by no later than October 15, 2014. This event will take place at First Presbyterian Church of Perth Amboy, 250 High Street, corner of High and Market Streets. (Follow the balloons).

The Domestic Violence Response Team is a very important part of our community. Our trained, volunteer members work directly with the Perth Amboy Police Department, local authorized organizations offering assistance and aid to individuals who are adversely victimized by domestic violence.
