PERTH AMBOY – After two rainouts, the BID, Perth Amboy Recreation Department and the Raritan Bay Cruisers were finally successful in presenting their Annual Vintage Car Show. The event was held on High Street and the cars were displayed around City Hall Circle. Parts of High Street which included the side streets of Market and Gordon Streets were blocked off in order to display the array of cars shown. Trophies were handed out to the owners of the cars displayed. Music was provided by a Top Air D.J. Vendors were available that sold anything from ice cream to pork and chicken on a stick and different kinds of foods. Raffles were sold for 50/50 and for the Pink Ribbon Trophy. The Raritan Bay Cruisers had some of their members show their cars. Originally over 300 cars were signed to participate. Because of the postponement of the two previous dates due to rain, about 200 cars were able to make the show.
