NEW BRUNSWICK – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Middlesex County will be honoring Former Governor Jim Florio and Mrs. Lucinda Florio at a Toast on May 3, 2015. It is an open house event occurring at Steakhouse 85 in New Brunswick from 11am-3pm. The program will begin at 12:30pm and will include a performance by the New Jersey Youth Chorus. The cost is $100 per ticket. Sponsorships and ad journal entries are also available. Purchases can be made online at www.casaofmiddlesexcounty.org/events.aspx or by sending a check to CASA of Middlesex County at 77 Church Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.

All proceeds benefit CASA of Middlesex County, a nonprofit that serves to advocate for children living in foster care. CASA recruits, screens, trains and provides ongoing supervision to volunteers who are appointed by a judge to speak for a child’s best interests in court. Ultimately, the advocacy of CASA volunteers helps children living in foster care find safe, permanent, loving homes.
