Wilbert Mora d.2022

Jason Rivera d.2022

New York Police Department officers Jason River, and his partner, Wilbert Mora were killed by a man who opened fire during a domestic call.

Mora joined the police department in 2018. Mora’s family felt he would continue to live because of donating his organs to others. Five people were saved after they received organs donated by slain NYPD officer Wilbert Mora.

Jason Rivera’s wife, Dominique Luzuriaga, who was his childhood sweetheart, delivered a passionate fiery speech at his funeral in St. Patrick’s Cathedral. You could tell the spirit of her husband was right there beside her to give her the strength and love she needed to speak those words.

On this upcoming Valentine’s Day, these are just examples of the gifts besides flowers and candy. C.M.
